Left School or College - What next?
Leaving school or college can be a confusing time especially if you don’t know what you want to do or have too many other things going on in your life! But it always helps to know who can help and what information is available!
This site can help you find out:
- Which local companies recruit and train young people
- Who offers work experience
- What skills & personal attributes local employers look for when recruiting
- Which companies offer the jobs that interest you
- About job opportunities
1) Key Words such as:
- Hotel, garage, shop (the type of company). Try singular and plural forms e.g. accountant and accountants
- communication, honesty (Skills)
- Work experience
- Type of training e.g. NVQs, apprenticeship, in-house
- Towns and areas e.g. Llandrindod Wells, Powys, Ceredigion, Gwynedd, Carmarthenshire
2) Category - Companies are split into 4 categories -Tourism, Sales, Manufacturing & Services. You could search for all the employers in the category that interests you!
3) Positions - you can look for companies offering a certain job e.g. mechanic, chef, manager, designer. Which jobs are you interested in?
Just input your search and wait to see which companies come up. You can then look at the details of all these companies or pick and choose!
