Background

The Church’s Conservation Trust is a national body that cares for and promotes public access to English Churches of historical importance, or outstanding architectural and archaeological significance that are no longer used for regular worship.

The Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) wanted to update its on-line presence so that it could communicate more effectively with its target audience via a public website, a password protected extranet and an intranet.

Solution

Imaginet designed and built a visually attractive website that complements the off-line branding of the CTT perfectly and meets the relevant accessibility guidelines. Key features include:

  • A wide range of content management databases such as Events, Churches, Documents and Case studies
  • Users can search for content via a number of routes including interactive maps and drop-down menus
  • Content is inter-related throughout the site so that information relating to a particular church is shown on the same page, e.g. events
  • On-line donations are encouraged linked to Imaginet's secure checkout system
  • The content management system can be security protected so that only users with a username and password can be given access to certain restricted content, creating an extranet
  • An intranet is also under development, again using the same content management system
  • A Registration and emailing system (eCRM) allows CCT to build relationships with its supporters and promote certain events and activities
